Hi I'm BananaMama and I'm from the beautiful island of Dominica. The Nature Island of the Caribbean. Cooking and creating are my passion. I think food is indeed Art and I love to put flavors together for an end result of greatness for the pallet. Do you know where Dominica is? It is 289 square miles in the Eastern Caribbean in the wide Sargasso Sea.  Oh Dominica, land of my birth and upbringing I love you. You are my greatest inspiration.

Waitukubuli, (tall is her body) the Carib Indians call you. Your richness is in your terrain, natural being, natural beauty and greenery.The nature island of the Caribbean. Below is a picture of me in our national wear. We celebrate Independence every November 3rd.

On Sundays we love doing bakes with salt fish. A Caribbean favorite which could be eaten anytime but mostly at breakfast or brunch!
